7. Command Code Summary

The Smart Label Printer recognizes the following commands:

05 nn dd ... CMD_PRINTRLE 1 B Print compressed (RLE) data

06 nn CMD_MARGIN 1 B Image offset (in mm) from left side

07 CMD_REPEAT 1 B Repeat last print command

09 nn CMD_TAB 1 B Tab nn dots to the right

0A CMD_LINEFEED 1 B Feed label one line (one dot)

0B nn CMD_VERTTAB 1 B Feed label nn lines (dots)

0C CMD_FORMFEED 1 B Feed to top of next label

0D nn CMD_SETSPEED 2 B Set print speed mode

0E nn CMD_DENSITY 1 B Set print density to nn

0F CMD_RESET 1 I Reset printer

10 CMD_CHECKPOINT 1 B Send checkpoint response

11 nn CMD_REVFEED 1 B Feed paper backward nn lines (dots)

12 CMD_MODEL 1 I Request printer model number

16 nn CMD_INDENT 1 B Set image offset (in dots) from left side

17 nn CMD_FINEMODE 1 B Set anti-banding mode on/off

18 nn CMD_XOFF_THRESH 1 I Set XOFF threshold

19 nn CMD_XON_THRESH 1 I Set XON threshold

1A 01 CMD_DIAGNOSTIC 1 I Enable diagnostic mode

1B ii CMD_SETSERIALNUM 2 I Set serial number

1C nn CMD_SETOPTIONS 1 I Change option settings

1D nn CMD_GETOPTIONS 1 I Request option settings

1E nn CMD_SETMODE 1 I Set printer mode (nn = 0, 1, or 2)

1E FF CMD_GETMODE 1 I Get printer mode

1F nn CMD_LENGTH 1 B Set label length to nn millimeters

A5 CMD_CHECK 1 I Check for correct baud rate

Notes:

• The B/I column specifies whether the command is Buffered or Immediate

• "nn" represents a single byte parameter

• "ii" represents a 9 byte.

• "dd ..." represents a string of data bytes (length = nn)

•

Class 1 commands are compatible with all SLP models.

• Class 2 commands are compatible with only SLP 440 and SLP 450.
